I have been owned by cats all my life, and always admired the elegant exotic beauty of the lesser wild cats like the African Serval. I became interested in Savannah cats in 2002, when my daughter spotted an ad in Cats USA and said "Wow, Mom, look at these cats - they're gorgeous!" I had to agree, we were smitten: I spent the next 2 years educating myself on every aspect of Savannah ownership, cattery husbandry, breeding and genetics that I could find. I joined the Savannah Cat Club, TICA and many email lists devoted to Savannah cats, became acquainted with breeders, and waited for the right kittens to come along. Those kittens were Zahara and Marozi: Meadow Creek Savannahs, which had been a distant dream for so long, was finally a reality.
Savannah breed development is my personal passion
and the focus of our cattery. We do not own a
serval, and are not breeding high percentage or
early generation foundation Savannah kittens. We are
concentrating on later generation litters, currently
F4 and on, working through the TICA B and C level
litters toward SBT and consistent male fertility.
We are located in the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains of Southwestern Virginia. We love the temperate seasonal climate, the scenic vistas, and the many opportunities for outdoor recreation in this area.
