Marozi is our stud boy from Mikki at SafariKingdom. He is a "hot-colored" or "sorrel" BST (brown/black spotted tabby), meaning that although his spotting was black as a baby, and his paw-pads and tail-tip are black, rufousing polygenes progressively replaced the black melanin with yellow (copper-toned) melanin on his body as he got older. He is perfect for pairing with cool-toned BSTs like Kalahari, and very dark-marked BSTs like Zahara. Marozi has a nice "boomerang" shape to his eyes, a dark nose, and shorter thick tail, all of which he is successfully passing on to his kids.

Marozi is a very sweet, laid-back guy, who loves nothing more than a good belly-rub. Well, almost...he certainly loves his ladies and knows how to woo them and keep them happy! He also likes to play in water, and to jump on my shoulders so he can lie around my neck like a 14lb. mink stole! His friendly, outgoing personality is another trait that he is passing on to his kittens.

This is a photo of a "Marozi" - Marozi is Swahili for either a natural lion/leopard hybrid or a lion that never lost their baby spots.
